We've Got To Pray Just To Make It Today

I can remember listening to MC Hammer say, "We've got to pray just to make it today." I am not sure what else he said in that song, but I think Hammer is right on point with that statement. The german monk Martin Luther is quoted saying, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing”1 and Jonathan Edwards wrote, "When God has something very great to accomplish for his church, it is his will that there should precede it the extraordinary prayers of his people."
